Summary/Abstract: The author approaches the period 1945-1950 from the perspective of the historical sociology. He underlines the role of the middle class in the transfer of political power towards the totalitarian system. The study uses documents of the local and regional archives of the Ministry of the Interior and sources of the Romanian Communist Party.
