Summary/Abstract: The establishment of the people’s democratic regime in Romania led to the application of a new, strongly ideological “urban restructuring” policy. Through a powerful misinformation and propaganda campaign, the Soviet concepts of architecture and urban planning were put into practice, through a demolition action in all the cities of this country, which reached a climax in the 80s.
