Summary/Abstract: This document we publish transcribes the talk Gheorghe Tătărescu had in 1956 with the French Minister in Bucharest, Pierre Franfort, a dialogue which was part of the détente policy. The French minister reported on the Romanian attempts to persuade France of the need for an amiable policy, promoted by the Soviet bloc states, through Gheorghe Tătărescu, the reservations of the French diplomat being based on the evolution of the international situation in the summer and fall of 1956.
