Summary/Abstract: The article present the result of preventive archaeological research conducted at the site Cheia-Quarry, during July-August 2015. The discoveries come from three periods: Upper Paleolithic, Early Bronze Age I (Coțofeni culture) and II (Copăceni group). In the case of both Early Bronze Age cultures, the functionality of the site proposed by the authors of the article is the exploitation of the gypsum deposit ( gypsum quarry), which the archaeological remains directly overlap.
