Summary/Abstract: Playing the neutral camp Switzerland never broke the diplomatic relation with Romania, during the World War II, keeping a constant economic partnership. This was because the two countries’ economies were complementary: Switzerland needed primary goods as oil and foods, while Romania needed chemicals and technology, especially ammunitions.
