Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the Romanian legal framework of whistleblowers. In its first part, the article presents a general perspective on Law no. 361/2022 on the protection of whistleblowers, as well as on the European law on this subject. Separate sections are dedicated to the detailed presentation of the regulations adopted within the Council of Europe and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights, including the judgment handed down by the Grand Chamber in the Halet v. Luxembourg case on February 14, 2023.
