Summary/Abstract: Environment is the communication and interaction of living and non-living things with each other and their environment. Ecology, on the other hand, is a branch of science that examines the relationship of living things with each other and with the environment. Deep ecology, on the other hand, is a movement that radically rejects the supremacy of man over nature. Deep ecology, which gives special value to nature and is an ideological movement, wants individuals and societies to respect this nature. Therefore, it is against the human-centered understanding that places man at the center of the universe. With this approach, deep ecology is included in radical ecological movements. This radical understanding, which represents a "nature"-centered understanding rather than a "human"-centered understanding, has been criticized a lot, especially in terms of environmental perspective. We are respectful towards the environment in accordance with the Islamic belief. We are of the opinion and belief that the environment should be protected. However, the fact that the deep ecology movement does not center on “human” contradicts our belief. Because, in the belief of Islam, man is "esref-i mahlukat" (the most honorable of creation). From this point of view, the view that all living things are equal and have the same intrinsic value in deep ecology contradicts our belief. However, when we say that everything is created for human beings, we must also say that people do not have the right to use the environment rudely, not to leave it to future generations, or to treat the environment badly. In Islam, the environment is entrusted to man. That's why we need to take care of the trust and protect it.
