Summary/Abstract: Protecting the environment is essential both for the healthy and balanced living of today's people and for future generations. There is a need for continuous improvement of environmental performance through prevention activities. Each of us has a responsibility to protect the environment both for ourselves and for the people around us, but also for future generations. We need to be concerned about the legacy we leave to future generations in terms of the environment. This requires an appropriate environmental policy, but also an increase in accountability through the adoption of long-term strategies and action plans.
