Summary/Abstract: After a short introductory overview of hermeneutics, the rest of the paper is devoted to the specific and peculiar form thereof expressed in the theoretical and philosophical opus of Nikola Milošević. One could say that hermeneutics is the theoretical anchor point of Milosevic’s entire opus: whether he was solving the question of man or the question of truth, or some other question, the problem of knowledge could not be avoided no matter what. That is why this problem, both in its practical, methodological manifestation, and in its theoretical form (the two overlapping with one another), represents the basic ideological throughline that extends from Milošević’s earliest to his final theoretical works. The enigmatic presence of contradictions in literary and theoretical works pushed this Serbian hermeneutician to mold his psychology of knowledge, that is, the philosophy of differentiation, offering comprehensive theoretical-methodological steps by means of which it is possible to reach the truth, but only so far as the extent of the cognitive powers of the one who searches for it, or in other words, so far as the extent that the truth itself allows.
