ANALYSIS OF THE CONDITIONS OF ECONOMIC MIGRATION PROCESSES TO POLANDIN THE CONTEXT OF THE SARS-COV-2 PANDEMIC

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the issue of selected conditions of economic migration of Ukrainian citizens to the Republic of Poland. It is based on statistical data published in the report of the Social Insurance Institution, entitled "Foreigners in the Polish social security system" [25]. In order to achieve the assumptions adopted in the article, the method of legal analysis and the method of descriptive statistics were used. Economic and political crises or the situation of pandemics and their effects have a significant impact on the situation of foreigners, the scale and structure of migration. Some of the consequences of the indicated events are predictable, while others occur unexpectedly. Exceptional inconveniences are determined by events of a sudden and "uncommon nature". The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic is an unusual condition, entailing disruptions in the existing mobility processes of foreign workers. Normative solutions, which are an important factor determining the decision to migrate for work, significantly affect the decision to leave.
