Summary/Abstract: In the literary discourse telling the past of the German-speaking minority of the historical Hungary we find a tendency to conceptualize the minority's war experiences with the help of metaphors of the body and the border. The present article examines the metaphors ‘body’ and ‘border’ in selected novels as a concept of order, transformation, transition and threat.
