Summary/Abstract: he western territories (the so-called recovered territories) were an area where crime was relatively high after the end of World War II. Based on the preserved files, the author presents the problem of murders in the light of the judicature of the Regional Court in Gorzów Wielkopolski (1945-1950). It presents not only selected judgments but also recalls the profiles of the perpetrators. The work may serve as an introduction to broader research on post-war crime against life and health in the northern part of the Lubuskie Region.
