Summary/Abstract: This research aims to conduct a study on the succession of criminal laws over time in the Italian Republic. The research is carried out as a result of the legal, doctrinal and jurisprudential analysis of this European state. The theories, principles and criteria for establishing the most favorable criminal law in the case of a succession of normative acts will be identified. The concept of lex tertia will also enjoy attention, because we want to know if in Italy the more favorable criminal law is applied on autonomous institutions, ie if legal provisions from two or more consecutive criminal laws can be combined.
