Summary/Abstract: Spain, during its history of as a nation, has been characterized by significant divisions at the political, socio-cultural and ideological levels, which affected considerably the cohesion of the country. Buriers and buried, nationalists and republicans, rightists and leftists, winners and losers, executioners and victims, it is larger the list of antithetical concepts which established those divisions between Spanish people. Those divisions, which became more important in the last XX century, especially during civil war and Francoism, still have an impact on the present. Those social realities are unavoidably reflected in arts, in general and in literature, specifically. The present article investigates, in Entrevías mon amour, some manifestations of that period of fear in some characters of Justo Sotelo(2009), with the aim to make a lecture of the difficult reconciliation of the two Spains. It makes use of the theory of Liquid Modernity developed by Zygmunt Bauman (2003), to describe an era known as fluid and characterised not only by fears due to uncertain times and deterioration of human relationships, but also by simulacrum and hypocrisy in the politicians’s acts through their unwillingness to definitely heal the wounds of that recent past of Spain. This reflexion is based on the analysis and interpretation of the corpus with the objective to better understand its profound signification since, in accordance with María del Carmen Bobes Naves (2008), literary productions have an intention. It is structured in two principal parts: the obsessive images of Francoism as a pretext which leads us to the difficult reconciliation between Buriers and buried.
