Summary/Abstract: The choice of a suitable method of assessing the complexity, accountability and workload, the relevance of the assessed criteria and their updating in response to the development of the content of the work performed is a basic prerequisite for a fair remuneration of employees. The development of new technologies (automation, robotic automation and digitization), as well as the increasing emphasis on continuous training of employees and the emergence of new work activities, change the demands for work itself. These changes are going in the work carried out in public services, the state administration and the private sector. The aim of the paper was to find possibilities of application of selected systems and methods of work evaluation, both domestic and foreign, for the use of the work evaluation of public servants and employees in public services. There were analyzed strengths and weaknesses, including revealing of opportunities to specify the currently used Analytical Method of Work Evaluation applied just to assess the work of civil servants and employees in public services. The analysis was focused on seven methods, namely: REFA; Bedaux system; NEMA; Criteria comparison method; Decision-making method; Method Urwick Orr; ISOS job evaluation system.
