Summary/Abstract: Elder care becomes one of the current social and politic issues. The demographic changes in the Czech society put forward the question "Who will care?". The aim of this article is to investigate the private sector with social elder care. We want to answer following questions: How do the care workers understand their role? How do they make sense of the care they provide? Our aim is to explore the provision of the elder care from the perspective of care workers. We effort to mediate the nature of the daily social elder care. We draw upon the ethnographic research that included the participant observation and non-formal interviews with care workers and care receivers.
