Summary/Abstract: On 11 December 2018, the Prague Congress Centre, Holiday Inn, provided the venue for the "Best Practice in the Support of Care providers and Seniors" international conference. The conference was organised by the Institute for Social Policy and Research under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the President of the National Council of Persons with Disabilities of the Czech Republic, Mr. Václav Krása and the President of the Association of Social Services Providers of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jiří Horecký. The conference was attended by a number of experts from various countries involved in issues concerning informal care, support for care providers, the provision of support services for care providers and those under their care, etc., including for example, Francesca Centola from Belgium, Richard Humphries from Great Britain and Martina Takter from Sweden. The papers presented were both very interesting and informative; moreover, there was a very lively discussion on various issues surrounding care providers and their support which included the participation of conference attendees. The article in the Social Policy FORUM journal provides a short introduction to each of the speakers and the themes of their various contributions.
