Summary/Abstract: The article highlights the widespread but little known existence of age discrimination in forced migration legislation, policy and practice. Employing the term "social age", the author analyses the ways in which people are segregated with respect to forced migration according to chronological age, biological development and family status. The article aims to contribute towards the further research of age discrimination in all its forms and in the various contexts of forced migration.
