Summary/Abstract: The paper suggests how to introduce the institute of sharing old-age pension rights between spouses in the Czech Republic. A simulation model is used to estimate outcomes of such reform for both: spouses pension benefits and pension system costs. The results show a limited impact of the reform which is related to the existence of reduction limits employed in the pension calculation formula.
