Summary/Abstract: The importance of intercultural communication in today’s business world is, without doubt, paramount. The greater the diversity of the workforce, the higher the need for competent staff, skilled both in business and intercultural communication and able to work effectively in multicultural teams. This is why students should be prepared to cope with the challenges of a multicultural, diverse workplace. Our paper aims at reinforcing the importance of studying intercultural business communication through applied research to a mixed-ethnic group of master students. The results will show that the course in intercultural business communication helped the students improve communication and cooperation inside the group. They discovered new things about their colleagues’ culture and began to understand them better; they started challenging their own beliefs about the group they belonged to and about intercultural communication as a means of connecting with other groups, both in personal and in professional life.
