Summary/Abstract: This study examines the problem of power privileges in the Byzantine Empire in the Early European Middle Ages (V-XI century). This problem was broken through the nature of imperial power and its basic powers at the time. An in-depth analysis of the reasons and prerequisites for the emergence of privileges in Byzantium, as well as their application in the country. The main social strata are indicated, which really benefit from the benefits and prosperity of power. Relevant conclusions and summaries of the scope and scale of the use of these privileges by the elite in the Byzantine Empire were made.
