Summary/Abstract: Applying the Method for Identifying Potentially Deliberate Metaphor (DMIP), the expression the tsunami of Islamization is analyzed in order to describe its communicative function and consequences of its use in public discourse. The paper aims to show that figurative language may be used to support ideological claims and be rhetorically effective.
