Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to trace the problematic of the broken logical space language – identity in works of Ingeborg Bachman and Robert Musil – “Malina” and “The Man without Qualities”. The two texts are seen as experimental fields of research into existing social and linguistic phenomena and attempts to transform these “untrue” spaces into the constructs of creative genius. Restoring the truth between identity and language is tied to the process of self-reflection and to exploring the limits of language.
