Summary/Abstract: In the second commentary on the article "Česká naděje na duchovní vlast" [The Czech Hopes for a Spiritual Homeland] by the philosopher Jan Patočka is provided a profile of the magazine "Naše vojsko", which in the autumn of 1938 transcended its military character and significance and to which leading democratic cultural figures as literary historian and critic Václav Černý or Jan Patočka began to contribute.
