The Reception of Fernando Pessoa’s Work in Poland

Summary/Abstract: This article is a study of the reception of the work of Fernando Pessoa, a Portuguese poet, in Poland. The author’s name has achieved increasing recognition since its first mention in the Polish literary context in 1975, and is nowadays one of the most frequently translated Portuguese authors into Polish. The article cites multiple Polish sources on Pessoa’s writing, and gives the names of translators and specialists who dedicated themselves to promote his poetry in Poland.
