Summary/Abstract: As the title of this article suggests, the paper deals with the analysis of the language of the high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt. An attempt is made to answer the question whether the language used by Christian Schmidt is complex and abstract. In order to answer the question above, an interview of the high representative published in May 2022 for the German TV company Deutsche Welle was analyzed, and the goals that were set are as follows: 1. Determine the language level of Schmidt's vocabulary, using the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages: 2. Determine the complexity of the syntax used by the high representative; 3. Excerpt all solid structures with special focus on those with conveyed meaning; 4. Excerpt all words of foreign origin; 5. Analyze rhetorical figures.
