Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the conection between the Church and the society. It analyses the Church interraction with society in four major domains, namely work, poverty, social justice and politics. The premise of this article is that the church is called to play a major role in the transformation process o the local community. Our goal is to examine the New Testament evidence which offer guiding principles on the topic of social responsability of the church.
