Summary/Abstract: The beginning of the pandemic in Romania, similar to other countries, brought confusion, anguish and forces reclusion. However, mediated communication indicated an increase in the co-creation of content, leading to a great number of memes tackling the new lack of sociality environment. This paper proposes the analysis of the first months of pandemic memes using the theories of coping mechanisms and frame creation to map the digital response to the new events.
