Summary/Abstract: The protection of unaccompanied foreign minors has been an issue of major concern for the European Union in recent years. The need for special protection of unaccompanied minors has gradually been felt by the main international organizations and has led to the adoption of numerous legal instruments among the member states, including in the fight against human trafficking. This study analyses the status of unaccompanied foreign minors in the light of existing international and European legal regulations, as well as the role of guardianship services in European states where the migration flows of this category are increasingly frequent.
