Summary/Abstract: The study summarized partial information on the results of measuring the level of reading technique among the 7th grade of primary school pupils, which was realised as part of the TAČR project The Development of Diagnostic Set of Reading Comprehension with Pupils of 2nd degree of Primary Schools. The measurements were carried out using a newly designed set of texts, with the help of which it is possible both to diagnose dyslexia of pupils of the 2nd level of primary schools, and to verify the effectiveness of previous re-education for previously diagnosed pupils, to consider the maintenance, limitation or reactivation of support measures. The measurements were carried out using the so-called eye-tracker, visual and acoustic reading recordings of 22 7th grade pupils from selected primary schools in Ostrava were analysed. The analyses were focused on the evaluation of quantitative and qualitative data, and the speed of reading, number of errors (with a distinction between corrected and retained errors) and strategies used when answering questions about the text were monitored. The measurements confirmed differences between pupils without a specific learning disorder and dyslexic pupils in all indicators, in the speed of reading, occurrence of errors and representation of individual types. The results obtained so far indicate usability of the diagnostic tool in pedagogical practice.
