Summary/Abstract: Adnan Turani, one of the representatives of Contemporary Turkish Painting, is among our artists who produced lyrical non-figurative works in the abstract tendencies of Turkish Painting that started in the 1950s. Adnan Turani's works, in which line, stain and form, which are the basic elements of painting, are widely used, are far from a strict understanding of geometry. In the research, Adnan Turani's process from the figurative period to the period of abstract works will be reviewed, and the change of the artist's style over time will be evaluated through work analysis. The literature on Adnan Turani and his works was searched and the data were examined with a descriptive method. As a result of the research, it is seen that the artist's expressionist understanding is dominant in his figurative works, and he includes light and dark color contrasts in his figure paintings. In Adnan Turani's abstract works, on the other hand, it is seen that he analyzes color, stain, form, line and rhythm, which are plastic elements of painting, with fictional structures on the surfaces on which the units are spread.
