Summary/Abstract: Having as its central subject the relationship between the well-known archaeologist Dinu Adameșteanu and the political police of the communist regime in Romania, the present approach examines the political pressures exerted by the Securitate on the evolution of Romanian archeology in the post-war period. They are brought to attention unpublished funds, which specialists from various scientific fields of research can further integrate into wider studies.
