Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the first adaptation of “Robinson Crusoe” after the Liberation of Bulgaria – Stoyan Popov’s translation from Russian into Bulgarian published in 1892. The book was intended to address elementary school pupils, transmit knowledge to them, teach them good manners, moral and values and thus contribute towards their character formation and development.
