Summary/Abstract: The year 1919 meant a new beginning for Arad, the moment when the decisions taken on December 1, 1918 in Alba-Iulia, but also the measures taken by the great powers begin to be put into practice. By establishing the Romanian administration and implementing the measures taken by the Governing Council, important state institutions were „Romanianized” and the first officials were sent from Romania. In the autumn of 1919 arrived in Arad two great philologists, Dumitru Panaitescu Perpessicius and Alexandru Theodor Stamatiad, who taught Romanian and French at the „Moise Nicoară” High School.
