Summary/Abstract: In modern Polish language courses, integrated teaching of both language and culture is quite a popular option. This fact is backed up by numerous publications which serve that purpose. In the following article, we are discussing the goals of the Lubimy Lublin [We Like Lublin – translator’s note] project, which additionally combines testing and developing communication skills with a transfer of knowledge concerning the local culture. The Project is characterised by its multimodal nature by including films and associated language exercises with an attractive graphical style. It is also deeply rooted in the methodology of teaching Polish as a foreign language and, at the same time, can provide inspiration for the development of further filmic-textual classes that will serve to teach language and culture.
