One of the themes which were the subject of disagreement was nature, in other words the war’s character. Different authors have been written about aggression, civil war, class- war, religious war, in other words, about war of civilizations, and the war for territories/the war for Yugoslavian heritage. This article will try to analyze the war in Croatia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina through bipolar opposing the war nature as the conflict of civilizations and the war as the expression of real politics. The chain of pragmatic goals will be meant by the second term, that the warring sides have been trying to achieve and external factors that have no ideological, philosophical or religious support.
