Summary/Abstract: Today's time brings new challenges and priorities to the modern man, which leads to the fact that most young people today do not have a correct and clear idea about Orthodox marriage and family and their importance for spiritual life, and for this reason, there are often cases where they build their relationships on foundations that are unacceptable for a Christian. For these reasons, the author points out the meaning and importance of Orthodox marriage, reminds of the necessity of adequate preparation for marriage, within which it is necessary to determine whether there are marital obstacles between the future spouses. The author deals with the analysis of irremovable marital obstacles, which in church and civil law represent an insurmountable obstacle to the conclusion of marriage. A frequent case is their subsequent determination, which leads to the nullity of the marriage in secular and autonomous law.
