Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the specifics of the psychological assessment of autistic spectrum disorders. Screening, diagnostic process, psychological assessment related to the therapeutic plan, re-assessment are the main functions of the evaluation. The paper provides a short discussion of the different variants of requesters of psychological assessment and selection criteria of methods and tools of the assessment. In addition, the paper represents specific ethical questions of present interest in the area, recommendations and standards of providing feedback of the psychological evaluation. The argument is supported by multiple practical examples.
