Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the specifics of the psychological interview as assessment method of autism spectrum disorders. The strengths and weaknesses, and validity issues of interviewing are discussed. The specifics of interviewing the parents of autistic children are presented, but also the specifics of interviewing autistic teenagers and adults. Directions of formulating appropriate questions to explore specific themes are also given. The important topics which should be discussed in this specific form of application of interviewing are presented.
