Artillery in the Third Silesian Uprising – technical aspects

Summary/Abstract: Although sparse – sixty-four cannons in total – artillery in the Third Silesian Uprising represented ten types of the six states’ armies, including as exotic ones as Japanese. Among them, one could find both modern and entirely obsolete cannons. On the basis of the remaining archival materials, the author manages to juxtapose all those types being in use in the uprising troops. Additionally, this information is supplemented with the history of their production and the ways they reached Upper Silesia. The paper also outlines in detail their ammunition and other accessories.
