The book under review is a collection of scientific papers by in-person and distant participants of the XXXI International scientific and theoretical conference of intellectuals, held on September 23—24, 2021 at Ivanovo State University. The conference on the topic “Intelligentsia and intellectuals: genesis, formation, development, activity” was dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the interdisciplinary scientific journal “Intelligentsia and the World”. A wide range of publications gives a fairly characteristic and complete picture of the state of modern intellectual studies as an actual branch (direction) of modern scientific humanitarian knowledge. Particular attention in the undertaken review is drawn to the correlation of the concepts of intelligentsia, representative of intelligentsia, intellectual.
