Summary/Abstract: The work sums up the results of the annual 20th international scien-tific-theoretical conference «Intelligentsia: genesis, formation, coming-to-be, development and activity», that was held on September, 24—26, 2009 in Ivanovo State University. The author shows the most interesting reports which were discussed during the symposium. Much attention is paid not only to the well-known specialists in intelligentsia studies but also at young re-searchers as well. The article also tells us about the discussion that was held during the conference on the problems of interrelationship between social and spiritual intelligentsia
