Actual and artificial usage of cases

Keywords: Case; preposition; usage; tendency

Summary/Abstract: In present-day press a bare case-form often occurs where the case with the preposition, a subordinate clause or another linguistic expression would be preferable. The reasons for such usage tendency are concerned either with the usage patterns borrowed from other languages or the user's willingness to preserve old, almost extinct forms of expression, or failure to use excessive resources of the language.
