Fires of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. A review pf primary and secondary sources

Summary/Abstract: The article, which is a fragment of the work Fires in ancient Warsaw. Materials for the history of fire protection (1261–1795), has a contributing character and is an introduction to the further study of the fire protection history of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The study contains information on fires that have been affected by the Castle in the period up to 1795, scattered in many sources, including archaeological re- search, and those that „only” threatened. In a few cases, information from sources that were previously unknown or never published has been presented, thanks to which many fires have been described much more extensively than before.
