Summary/Abstract: The attitude of the Mazovia Voivodeship assemblies towards military actions in 1676, and subsequently to their course and effects, was presented in the instructions to the MPs for the following Sejm sessions: coronation in Krakow in 1676 and Warsaw in 1677, and in the resolutions of the reporting assemblies in the spring of 1676. Although not all the resolutions were preserved, we know that the nobility of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship treated the issue of the Turkish threat as a priority, raising almost exclusively broadly understood fiscal and military problems at their meetings. The Mazovian assemblies agreed, without conditions, to continue the war and to adopt appropriate financial measures. They also proposed specific solutions concerning preparations for the 1676 war campaign, which is testament to their full acceptance of the policy of King John III. Unfortunately, this did not translate into concrete actions, especially in terms of setting up assembly infantry, whose draft did not dominate the Mazovian assemblies, as was the case in 1673, when the local armed forces were organised for the Chocim campaign. The Mazovians generally favourably assessed the very effect of the 1676 military operations, believing that the ceasefire concluded was optimal for the time being. Only the nobility of Ciechanow were of the opinion that by sanctioning in Żurawno the territorial losses of 1672, the war with Turkey was lost.
