Summary/Abstract: The article presents the specifics of the construction of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles on the main road arteries in Bulgaria. The advantages and disadvantages of charging electric vehicles and the current state and development of the charging infrastructure in the country and Europe are discussed. In conclusion, the trends and perspectives in the construction of the charging infrastructure, as well as the challenges faced by the users of charging stations for electric vehicles, are summarized.
