Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the perception of old age and old people by young people aged 17–19. The author presents a pilot study in a group of 129 high school students. The conducted research shows a positive image of an elderly person. Among other things, the youth defined the features of seniors, emotions and feelings towards this social group and behaviors presented towards the elderly. In conclusion, the author emphasizes the importance of the family upbringing system, education and the media in eliminating negative stereotypes and promoting positive attitudes towards old age.
