Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is an empirical analysis of the deteminants of productivity at the voivodeships level of Poland. The beginning is a small review of the literature related to the category of productivity with examples of its quantifiers. In the path of achieving the goal the model of linear regression is used. Variables that illustrate the analyzed cathegory in the best way are: gross value of fixed assets, R&D capital expenditure and an indicator defining the relations of people employed in the agricultural sector to total employment. The analysis leads to the following conclusions. Firstly, higher values of gross fixed assets lead to an increase in labour productivity. Secondly, higher values of the amount of expenditure on research and development lead to an increase in labor productivity. Thirdly, the level of employment in the agricultural sector should be limited as it negatively affects labour productivity.
