Summary/Abstract: This paper aims, first of all, to decipher the degree of theatricality contained in a dramatic poem intended for the stage, to what extent a poetic text written for the stage can contain in its intimate fibre the exigencies and constraints of representation. Jean-Pierre Siméon’s text, Stabat Mater Furiosa, is not a modern rewriting of the original pattern from the Christian liturgical tradition, but a poetic text-invective to the horrors of war of all times.
