Summary/Abstract: The article examines an unknown fragment of a cosmographic and geographical work, in the form of an itinerary – the path to paradise (Edem), which is a compilation by an unknown Bulgarian author. The passage speaks of the people inhabiting the lands around the Danube, who are orthodox, glorifying God, eating fruit and wild honey, neither sowing nor reaping, and receiving manna as food for seven days every year after Holy Saturday under the form of a heavenly rain of flour. Apparently, the description follows a legend of the blessed people.
